Sustainability – for example environmental and social issues such as climate change, water scarcity or poverty – is one of the most important challenges of our time and, accordingly, it has become an inescapable part of the economy, capital markets and therefore our investments.
ESG in investment: who will be the winners of the future?
The performance of a company is increasingly influenced by its ability to manage environmental and social factors (risks and opportunities) and to follow good, even responsible, management practices. For this reason, OTP Fund Management Ltd. is increasingly using what are collectively known as ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) factors in the selection and management of its investments.
Sustainable investment: can our money work for the Earth?
The ESG approach is not only about improving the risk-return characteristics of investments. There are also a growing number of investment opportunities around the world where our money can directly or indirectly finance sustainability efforts themselves. Assets such as green bonds or shares in companies fighting climate change are already available in OTP Fund Management Ltd.’s funds and managed portfolios.

Our related investment funds
More and more funds in our portfolio are taking ESG aspects into account when designing their portfolios. We aim to promote environmental and social sustainability alongside attractive risk/return performance.
Sustainability disclosures
Sustainability is one of the strategic pillars of the Company and is integrated into the risk management system, remuneration policy and incentive scheme for long-term sustainable value creation, including the exercise of voting rights.
The following documents are intended to inform Investors about OTP Fund Management Ltd.’s approach to managing sustainability risks, taking into account the adverse impact of investments on sustainability factors and the sustainability aspects of the remuneration policy. In addition to these (organisation-level) documents, which are relevant for the Fund Management Ltd. as a whole, our website aims to help investors understand the sustainability characteristics and objectives of each investment fund, the sustainability risks involved and the progress towards sustainability objectives.
